Program Description

Event Details

The annual HEB Reads! kickoff event is a MAJOR PARTY aimed at getting students, parents, and community members excited about the HEB Reads! Summer Reading Program.   For the past three years, the communities of Hurst, Euless, and Bedford, in partnership with HEB ISD,  have come together at Pennington Field for an amazing kick-off event. City libraries, school libraries, and many community partners help promote this event by bringing in exciting activities and hands-on fun to encourage young readers to embrace summer reading. The event is completely free to all, and all attendees get a FREE BOOK of their choosing.  Mark your calendars now…our HEB Reads! kickoff event will always be the first Saturday in May.  Hope to see you there!
