Are you starting or growing a business? Then chances are you need money. Where should you get that money from? How can you get prepared to be successful in obtaining the money that you need? This seminar will help you feel more confident in building the right financial funding plan for your entrepreneurial future!

The seminar presentation will walk attendees through:

  • First understanding the different types & sources of capital available to startup & growth-stage small businesses (Debt, equity, bootstrapping, etc).
  • Then, the focus will shift towards traditional debt-based financing (bank loans). I’ll talk about different loan types, why a particular type is necessary in certain situations, and which they can expect to need in their own scenario.
  • Next step will be to discuss how to get prepared to present yourself successfully for funding. Brief info on the underestimated importance of a business owner’s personal credit & personal financial habits as related to getting a small business loan. Then shedding a little light on business credit scoring and how to begin navigating that arena successfully.
  • Finally, an overview of the kinds of documentation is involved when the borrower delivers a completed “loan package” to them. Bank statements, resumes, sales projections, etc. This will briefly touch on the three big financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement).
