Event Details

Tailored ESL programs for Internationally Trained Professionals who are English Language Learners (ITP-ELLs) go beyond basic language instruction. These programs focus on industry-specific terminology, workplace communication skills, and cultural nuances to help professionals with degrees or credentials from their home countries succeed in English-speaking work environments.

This ESL class series focuses on improving workplace English and professional communication skills. Participants will explore topics such as:

  • Understanding American workplace culture and communication styles
  • Building relationships and confidence through conversation
  • Active listening and conversation strategies
  • Giving and receiving feedback effectively
  • Practicing language used in professional settings

The class also helps participants understand important cultural aspects of U.S. workplaces, such as directness, work-life balance, and punctuality—key elements for success in professional environments.

ESL classes for adult learners are provided in partnership with Irving ISD.
